My wife and me have travelled to France numerous times, mainly to Paris. Most of the cafes we frequent serve Cafe Richard and the coffee is always stellar. I was pleased to find Paname as a source and ordered 2.2 lbs each of Rouge Richard and Cafe Florio. We have tried preparing the Rouge Richard as pour over using a Melitta filter system, using a French press, and using a Bialetti Moka pot. In each case the coffee was properly ground and measured for the device and in each case the coffee was weak, lacking body and generally odd tasting. I don’t know if we received coffee that was improperly stored or transported or just old. I can say that the whole beans we received lacked any hint of oils on the surface of the beans and they were dry and light brown. I would not recommend this coffee.
