French Verveine and Mint Tisane

 

Ingredients for one teapot  (450 ml)

Organic verbena tea - 1 sachet

Fresh mint leaves or 1 teaspoon dried mint

Lemon peel - 1

Lemon slice, to serve

Honey (optional)

  • Put mint leaves and a lemon peel in a pot. Add one verbena tea sachet. Pour over water heated to 90 °C (194 °F). 

  • Allow to infuse for 5 minutes and serve warm, with honey to taste and a slice of lemon.
  • For an iced tea version, let the tea cool to the room temperature, add ice cubes and fresh sprigs of lemon verbena and mint.
