It's November 13th, a cold, windy, and snowy day here in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago, but our hearts are warm as we celebrate world kindness day. I had a few errands to run before work. As I pulled into a parking lot, there was a lady waiting to cross the parking lot, I waved her on to cross as I sat and waited. I was taken back by the pure joy on her face as she yelled, "Thank you"! After I parked and walked inside the store, I waited by the cash register and waited. Finally a saleswoman came to assist me. We had the most delightful conversation. I'm usually in such a rush. I left touched by conversing with someone. Connecting with someone.
There's so many things that I can do today. It's such a busy time of the year as I help our customers prepare for the holidays, but today I'm reminded that a small act goes along way.
I need more ideas of what to do for kindness day. Please share what you have done or plan to do on instagram, hashtag #panamecoffeeandtea.
